Monster is returning to Netflix for its third season to tell the story of the serial killer Ed Gein.

The Ryan Murphy-created show’s previous editors have focused on Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez brothers, Ed and Lyle. Dahmer was brought to life by Evan Peters in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, while Ed and Lyle were played by Cooper Koch and Nicholas Chavez, respectively.

Now, they have a fresh cast for the upcoming version of the show that will tell the story of killer Ed Gein.

The infamous murderer shot to prominence in the 1950s after police uncovered he had not only killed various victims but also had exhumed a number of bodies.

Gein began merely collecting random body parts like genitalia, which prompted necrophilism allegations. After a while, the crimes he was accused of included murder. In 1957, he was taken into police custody after being accused of killing Bernice Worden.

Following being found out of her and Mary Horgan’s 1944 death, he was found unfit for trial. In 1984, he died of lung cancer at age 77.
