Hoping for a fifth John Wick film? You might not get what you want sadly, if Keanu Reeves’ words prove correct.

Reeves is often asked about the possibility of a fifth film – after all, he’ll reprise the role in the spin-off Ballerina, so another one’s possible, right?
Not so, apparently. He recently spoke to Extra about the possibility of another film and appears to have poured cold water on the idea.
“Oh my gosh, well there’s a version of it called Ballerina, which is in the ‘John Wick’ world, and John Wick makes a brief appearance. So, other than that, I have no idea.” he said.
On the subject of whether he’d want to do more, he said”You know, the character’s dead. He died in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4.'”
“I know, in Hollywood you can… I know, I know, it’s the Hollywood story. Right now, there isn’t.”
“I don’t know if my knees can do it”
Reeves recently expressed doubts over whether he could play Wick again. Both he and others have said that the role is not just physically but very mentally demanding.

“You can never say never,” Reeves told CBS News. “My knees right now are saying ‘I can’t do another “John Wick.”‘ So my heart does but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”
In fact, franchise producer Basil Iwanyk told Collider the role was so strenuous that Reeves begged for his character to be killed off.
“After the second, third, and fourth movie, making these films is so exhausting and it destroys Keanu, physically and emotionally,” Iwanyk said. “By the end, he’s always like, ‘I can’t do this again,’ and we agree with him. The guy is just a shell of himself because he just goes off and goes for it. He was like, ‘I wanna be definitively killed at the end of this movie.’ We were like, ‘You know, we’ll leave a 10% little opening.”
When is Ballerina out?
Ballerina focuses on ballerina-turned-assassin Ana de Armas, who appears in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Reeves briefly appears in the film, which we know from the trailer. Right now, it’s unclear how much we might see of him in this new story.
Due to the placement of Wiseman’s movie, it looks like we’ll catch Wick while he’s still a global enemy of the sinister assassin organisation known as the High Table.
