- Naomie Harris played Miss Moneypenny in three of the James Bond movies
- And now the actor has weighed in on who she wants to see play 007
- Harris has personal experience of working with three huge names who are said to be in the running

There has been much news lately about the future of James Bond – after it was announced that Amazon MGM studios will have full control of the next film.
All this has, once again, played into the question on everyone’s lips – who on earth is going to be the next 007?
After a memo this week allegedly stated that “the spy will not change gender or nationality”, cast member Naomie Harris has spoken about who she’d like to see as the next Bond.
Harris played Miss Moneypenny in Daniel Craig’s last three Bond movies Skyfall, Spectre and No Time to Die – and says she thinks 007 should be “whoever inhabits the qualities” of the secret service agent.
“Sophistication, sexiness, mystery, sense of humour, charm – that’s who should play the role, male or female,” she said.
And Harris, 48, didn’t stop there – as she went on to suggest some big names for the part.
Naomie Harris suggests future James Bond stars

Fans have been debating who will play Bond for years now.
But Harris has personal experience with some of the biggest names in the running.
Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page co-stars with the actor in her new movie Black Bag.
“I think he’d make a great Bond,” she says. “He’s very suave, very sophisticated, very intelligent. And then he also has that twinkle in his eye. It’s needed.”
Page also plays a spy in Black Bag, and does a few of his own stunts. “He’s very capable of that as well. So I think he’s got everything that he needs,” she added.
Harris went on to describe her Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) co-star Tom Hardy as “an upright guy” and “such a phenomenal actor”, adding that she “loved the idea” of him playing Bond.
And as many fans think that Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be the next 007, Harris continued that she “really likes him as a person as well as an actor”.
Pierce Brosnan gives his thoughts on the new James Bond

Harris isn’t the only former James Bond star to give their verdict on who could be in the role next Bond.
In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, Pierce Brosnan said it was a “given” that whoever will be the next Bond should be British.
Brosnan – who played Bond in four of the movies – also added that he thought it was the “right decision” for long-time heads Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to step back from the next instalment.
He said, “I thought it was coming for some time I guess, but I think it was the right decision for Barbara and Michael.
“It takes great courage for them to let go. I hope that [Amazon] handles the work and the character with dignity and imagination and respect.”
