During the interview, Paltrow elaborated on her character meeting Chalamet’s Mauser. “This woman who is married to someone who is in the Ping-Pong mafia, as it were. Paltrow and Chalamet kiss went viral
Paltrow, 52 and Chalamet, 29 went viral in October 2024 when paparazzi images of the pair sharing a passionate kiss filming a scene were leaked online.
Speaking on The Tonight Show, Paltrow commented on the photos that made headlines around the globe, “’You’re trying to have this scene, and it’s a private moment, and there are paparazzi”.
However, according to the actress, the co-stars get a lot closer while filming certain scenes. “There’s a lot—a lot,” she told Vanity Fair, commenting on the movie’s physical moments.
She also made light of the 23-year age gap between her and Chalamet before filming these love scenes, “I was like, ‘Okay, great. I’m 109 years old. You’re 14.’ ”.
Intimacy coordinator wasn’t needed in Marty Supreme

Paltrow told the outlet that the idea of an intimacy coordinator is something she “did not know existed”, having not worked with one in the past.
When the intimacy coordinator asked her during the filming of Marty Supreme whether she’d be okay with a certain physical moment, she simply replied, “Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on.” She and Chalamet didn’t need the coordinator’s help and politely said, “I think we’re good. You can step a little bit back.”
Paltrow added on the idea of working with an intimacy coordinator, “I don’t know how it is for kids who are starting out, but…if someone is like, ‘Okay, and then he’s going to put his hand here,’ I would feel, as an artist, very stifled by that.”
As for working with Chalamet, “He’s such a thinking man’s sex symbol,” Paltrow told Vanity Fair. “He’s just a very polite, properly raised, I was going to say kid….He’s a man who takes his work really seriously and is a fun partner.”
Marty Supreme is scheduled for release on 25 December, 2025 and will mark Paltrow’s first serious acting role – “laying it all on the line and accessing a kind of vulnerability” – since 2010’s Country Strong.
