Selena Gomez was once “mortified” to arrive bang on time for one of Taylor Swift’s parties. The pair are incredibly good friends, so it probably wasn’t a big deal. However, there are appearances to keep up in these sorts of Hollywood circles.

While chatting with her now-fiancee for their new joint album, I Said I Love You First, the Only Murders In The Building, recalled the instance.

During their filmed conversation, Blanco asked, “What was our first party that we ever went to?”

“I don’t know if this was the first but it was actually really funny. As a couple we went to Taylor’s [Swift] party after some awards show,” Gomez answered during their Spotfiy special Countdown To I Said I Love You First: Selena Gomez and benny blanco In Conversation.

“I don’t know it was kind of cute, but I was mortified. Apparently cool people don’t show up to parties on time.”

Her man compared her party entrance style to his mom’s but revealed the extra kicker; their budding relationship was a secret.The couple have been together since 2023.

“We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you. You show up when like my mother shows up to a party,” Blanco said. “No, I thought you were gonna talk about the fact that no one knew we were dating and we were hiding.”
