There’s a killer lurking somewhere on Thailand’s The White Lotus – and fans are dying to figure out who it might be.

The sixth episode of Mike White’s luxury nightmare show dropped this weekend and as usual, it’s got people talking. In particular, many were turned off by a creepy, romantic-leaving sub plot that appears to be brewing between on-screen siblings Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola).

Elsewhere, there’s a lot going on – with nearly every character battling some kind of internal issue that’s eating away at them from the inside out. We already know this has dire consequences too. In the opening moments of White’s first season 3 episode, viewers watched as gunshots rang out across the tranquil resort.

As visitors ran for safety, we caught a glimpse of someone who wasn’t so lucky as a faceless body quietly floated face-down across one of The White Lotus’s many pools. So who was the dead body – and more importantly, who was the person pulling the trigger?
One of the show’s stars has shared an ominous clue that could help fans figure out who is behind this moment of mindless violence.
The White Lotus season 3: Who is the killer?
As it stands, we don’t know who the killer is in The White Lotus season 3.
However, during a recent interview with Variety, series star Jason Isaacs shared some interesting information.
Isaacs plays Timothy, a Southern businessman and all-around good-guy who’s past has come back to haunt him. While his family try their best to enjoy a relaxing vacation, he’s struggling to live with a secret that could see both his business and family lives fall apart.
When asked who the killer might be, Isaacs said that fans would be wrong to look towards justice for an answer.
“Mike White doesn’t do justice,” the Harry Potter actor told the outlet, speaking about the motivations behind The White Lotus’s creator.
“He’s not Agatha Christie, it’s not like the person who we want to die will die by popular vote. He does whatever he finds interesting.”
With that in mind, the killer at the heart of The White Lotus season 3 really could be anybody.
What are the fan theories?
Since the show started in late February, fans have been sharing their theories as to who’s behind this infamous gunshots.
However, one of the most popular seems to be quite simple. Basically, fans think one of Thailand’s resident monkeys gets the gun and starts shooting.
