Selena Gomez revealed that Lose You To Love Me is Taylor Swift’s favourite songs from her back catalogue.
The Only Murders In The Building star is long-time best friends with the pop superstar. While recalling the production of her 2020 album Rare, she shared how Swift got emotional listening to her anthem all about self-love and being independent.
Speaking to iHeart Radio about her new album I Said I Loved You First, Gomez said “When I played her ‘Lose You to Love Me,’ right before it came out, she and her amazing mom started to cry and then I started crying. You know, it’s very sweet.”

The Emilia Perez admitted that she respects the Anti-Hero icon’s advice so much because she is “honest,” a trait she admires in others a lot.

“I value her opinion so much, because she’s super honest. It’s very helpful, and I love people who are honest,” Gomez said.

Swift gushed about the new offering from Gomez and her record producer legend boyfriend on her Instagram Story.
“I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD,” the Blank Space hitmaker wrote.
The comment followed after a 100-day hiatus from the social media platform for Swift. Fans were probably a little too spoiled for Swiftie content as she posted to grid every time she wrapped up on a city on her mammothly successful The Eras Tour.

The pair have been friends since they both dated a member of the Jonas Brothers in 2008. Swift famously dated Joe Jonas, the inspiration for a number of heartbreak ditties, while Gomez was involved with his little brother and bandmate Joe.
Ever since, they have gone from strength to strength, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.
Recently, when the SAG Award winner announced her engagement to Blanco in December via Instagram, Swift wrote on the comments “yes I’ll be the flower girl”.
