Some Four Seasons hotel locations have emerged as early frontrunners for The White Lotus season 4.

The third outing of creator Mike White’s hugely popular drama recently ended. His show follows a group of wealthy holidaymakers as they vacation in swanky spots all over the world.

Season one took us to the sandy beaches of Hawaii. Season two transported us to the cobbled streets of Sicily. Meanwhile, The White Lotus season 3 set its story in tranquil Thailand – but things didn’t stay calm for long.

Each of White’s stories is set at the fictional high-level resort featured in the show’s title although in reality, each is (usually) a different Four Seasons hotel.

In late 2024, it was revealed that HBO and MAX struck a partnership deal with this posh hotel chain that involved marketing tie-ins at their real-life resorts.

Season 4 was given the green light in late 2024. While each instalment doesn’t strictly have to take place at a Four Seasons, odds are its next trek might be.

So where is White going next?

A few Four Seasons hotel locations have emerged as frontrunners.

According to HBO’s Head of Drama, The White Lotus season 4 is actively looking for locations. “We’re location scouting in the next couple of weeks,” said Francesca Orsi in February. “I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe.”

White has also told Deadline that he’s keen to “get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular,” for season 4.

With that in mind, it’s possible he could head to the French Riviera – the Four Seasons even has a spot in Cap-Farrat. We also know that White isn’t a fan of cold weather, which means he could be heading to somewhere European and warm.

The Four Seasons has 17 European properties that fit this bill and seen as the show has already taken us to Italy, it’s unlikely they’ll return to that spot so soon.

That leaves Four Seasons hotels in Istanbul, Mallorca or Athens as strong potential locations for season 4.

Maybe it won’t be set in a Four Seasons after all?

Another potential destination is Norway. While the area doesn’t boast a Four Seasons hotel, that doesn’t necessarily rule it out.

The White Lotus season 4 was primarily filmed at Thailand’s Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui but it also featured additional scenes at other hotel locations.

Plus – and this is where it gets interesting – Redditors discovered a Norwegian newspaper article that claims the production team for The White Lotus recently applied for a grant from the Norwegian Film Institute.

While unconfirmed, this could mean that skis and chalets could be on the cards for The White Lotus season 4.
