The 95-year-old Hackman was living with heart disease and Alzheimer’s, both of which are believed to have contributed to his passing a few days later on 18 February.

As the fallout from this investigation continues, newly released bodycam footage appears to show the conditions inside Hackman and Arakawa’s home in Sante Fe, New Mexico.

The footage was originally obtained by TMZ but has since been shared on multiple other news sites, including NBC News. Some of it can be viewed above.

The body cam footage shows Sante Fe County Sheriff’s officers entering Hackman and Arakawa’s home and exploring the situation. At some points, they even have their weapons drawn, just in case.

We hear them discuss various elements of the case, including possible blood sightings on a pillow and bed spread. The pair’s German Shepherd dog was also discovered at the scene in addition to another family dog which had sadly perished.

Betsy Arakawa’s emails and search history

As reported on Sky News, additional details were also revealed regarding the days leading up to Arakawa’s passing.

It is believed that she searched online for cold and flu symptoms alongside sending an email to cancel a planned masseuse appointment.

It was later found that Arakawa died due to Hantavirus, a rare condition spread through contact with rodents, their feces, saliva and urine.

While no evidence of rodents were found inside Hackman and Arakawa’s home, nests and droppings were identified in other outhouses linked to the star’s property.
