The next chapter of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s heroic effort to get AFC Wrexham back on top is almost here.
Since the pair bought the Welsh football club in 2020, it has gone from strength to strength. Wrexham AFC have achieved back-to-back promotions and returned to League One for the first time in 20 years. Funnily enough, it’s also attracted a slew of celebrities to matches at the Racecourse Ground.

But what can we expect as we head back to Wrexham? Let’s find out…
What is season four about?
Per a synopsis, the documentary series returns “with a new level of intensity, competition and costs, all while the club continues to be plagued with injury and fans demand the signing of new talent”.
“Dedicated staff and supporters celebrate the team’s climb toward the Premiership while bracing against the new-found challenges that come with each new tier up the EFL.
“Will Wrexham AFC rise to the challenge and do what no team has ever done before?”
Meanwhile, we also get to meet the Wrexham’s women’s team, who are fighting it out in the Welsh Adran Premier League.
It continues: “With new players and continued support from the club and fans, can they make a name for themselves at the top of the League?

Furthermore, the show will also follow the club’s executive director Humphrey Ker as he trains for a marathon.
“Meanwhile, somewhere in a galaxy far away… actually, a series of towns, cities and boroughs likely across Wales, England and California, Humphrey Ker trains for a marathon.
“Will Wrexham AFC’s beloved executive director raise funds for charity, survive humiliation at the hands of the players and staff, and complete 26.2 miles without injury or chaffing?”
Has the trailer dropped yet?
Yes it has. The trailer has just dropped, with Mcelhenney saying that he and Reynolds have been on a “rollercoaster of magic” since acquiring Wrexham AFC.
“Realistically, we will lose,” a fan says to camera, before a friend next to him says, “Don’t put that in!”
When is the new season out?
The first two episodes of Welcome To Wrexham’s fourth season will land on Disney+ on 16 May. Six more instalments will follow weekly.
