Here is a crossover we thought we’d never see. Yes, actor BJ Novak is dating the insufferable movie lead POV girl on TikTok, also known as Delaney Rowe. Novak, 45, is best known for starring in the 2000s comedy prank show Punkd and the iconic sitcom The Office.

On the sitcom, Novak played Ryan Howard for eight seasons, a young man who is sneaky and uses his charm to climb the corporate ladder. He is a corporate villain, basically. After The Office ended, Novak starred in Vengeance, The Founder, and continued his writing career.

He had an on-and-off-again relationship with his co-star from The Office, Mindy Kaling, and he wrote for her show, The Mindy Project. Kaling and Novak ended their relationship way back in 2007, and it appears Novak is stepping into the TikTok world with Rowe, 29.

Rowe is a 29-year-old TikToker and comedian. Reports surfaced on 28 April that she is dating The Office star, per People. Rowe has a BFA in acting from the California School of Dramatic Arts.

However, she found fame when she joined TikTok in 2020 and started to post ‘cringe’ comedy sketches. Primarily, Rowe is known for her genre of cringeworthy POV sketches, which make fun of stereotypical characters in TV and film that cater to certain tropes.

Gen-Z will know Rowe for one of her signature roles, the ‘unbearable female lead’ in an indie movie’. That is her bread and butter.

How did the internet react to the news that she was dating BJ Novak?

As exclusively revealed by People, the two sparked dating rumors back in December 2024 when they were spotted at the Bowery Hotel in New York, per gossip site Deuxmoi.

While sources didn’t reveal any details about the romance, the confirmation has the internet losing its minds.

Honestly, the crossover is not that random.

Internet users had a field day with the news. On X, one user posted a meme of Kaling’s character from The Office, Kelly Kapoor, crying.

Meanwhile another flabbergasted user found out about the news with the rest of the internet. The user said, “I just found out that BJ Novak is dating Delaney Rowe from TikTok and I have no one to talk about this with. Why did god curse me with the ability to process vast amounts of useless pop culture knowledge and not something useful, like how to do math?”

If anyone is an expert on useless pop culture information, it’s us.

A terrifying couple?
