The former world’s hairiest teen has shaved her head after receiving a Guinness World Record for it. Back in 2010, Supatra Sasuphan was known for her face, but now it’s all gone.
Sasuphan, 24, has a rare condition called Ambras Syndrome. This is a form of hypertrichosis, a condition that results in excess hair growth. Sasuphan’s condition is incredibly rare. 50 cases are recorded.

What happened after the world’s hairiest teen got her record?
After winning the world’s hairiest teenager record, the teenager shaved her hair.
She felt happy with the award and called it “the best day of her life,” but she still said goodbye to her hair.
Before she got rid of her hair permanently, the teenager and her doctors tried—and failed—to erase it for good.
Gold standard treatments like laser hair removal did not work – they only made the hair thicker.
“I don’t feel anything. It does sometimes make it difficult to see when it gets long. I hope I will be cured one day,” the teenager said of her hair growth.
The now 24-year-old teenager has found a way to keep her hair at bay: frequently shaving her face.
A new man held the record
An 18-year-old Indian man, Lalit Patidar, now holds the record for the hairiest face.
He told Guinness World Records about his hair growth: “They were scared of me, but when they started knowing me and talking to me, they understood I wasn’t so different from them. I just looked different on the outside, but I’m not different inside.”
Patidar visited a trichologist and discovered he was a record holder.
“I am speechless, I don’t know what to say because I’m very happy to get this recognition,” he said of the news.
His condition is the same, if not similar to Sasuphan’s.

Sasuphan has also found love
The 24-year-old has also shared that she has found love with a man. According to Facebook, she has been dating the unnamed man for seven months.
On Facebook, she wrote a happy anniversary post in April. How cute.
Previously, she was married to another man, whom she called ‘the love of my life’. At just 17, she was with the man, whom she paraded all over her social media accounts.
She hasn’t revealed when she split up with her ex, but she appears happy with the mystery man and has been since late last year.
