The gossip sites are ablaze currently with news that pop icon Harry Styles and influential actress Zoe Kravitz have got engaged.

People magazine has reported that a source – unnamed, of course – has confirmed that Harry, 32 and Zoe, 37, have got engaged. The report added that they have shared the news with a small circle. One that has got an awful lot bigger now the news sites have got hold of it.

In fairness, there had been speculation that the couple had got engaged after Zoe and Harry were snapped earlier in the month by the paparazzi and Zoe had a rather large ring on her finger.

The pair are thought to have got together about eight months ago, so evidently things have got serious quickly.

But how much do you know about Zoe Kravitz? Here are some facts you might not know about her.

She has a famous family

Zoe has some very famous relatives. Her father is rock legend Lenny Kravitz, and her mother is Lisa Bonet, who is probably best known as Denise Huxtable in The Cosby Show from 1984-92.

Meanwhile, her paternal grandmother, Roxie Roker, was an actress, and her paternal grandfather, Sy Kravtiz, was a television news producer.

In addition, her stepfather is actor Jason Momoa.

She staged shows at her grandmother’s house

Given her family, it is perhaps unsurprising that Zoe took an interest in acting from a young age. She joined local drama clubs, and would also stage her own shows at her grandmother’s house – often re-enacting ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.

Her first film role was as a babysitter

Zoe was still in high school when she landed her first film role, in 2007 romantic comedy No Reservations. Zoe played Charlotte, a babysitter hired by Catherine Zeta-Jone’s lead character, Kate Armstrong – a chef whose life is turned upside down when her nine-year-old niece comes to live with her, and she feels threatened by a new chef.

She’s toured with Lily Allen and Miley Cyrus

While, it was no surprise that Zoe was interested in acting, it was equally unsurprising that she also took an interest in music and formed her own band.

Lolawolf – named after her younger half-siblings – was a collaboration between Zoe and her friend, drummer and producer Jimmy Giannopoulos, and played R&B and electropop.

The band recorded an album, called Calm Down, in 2014, as well as singles and a couple of EPs.

Lolawolf did play some gigs, including opening for the likes of Lily Allen and Miley Cyrus for their shows in Australia in late 2014. They also appeared at Lollapalooza in 2016.

However, they haven’t produced anything since 2020 – but then Zoe has been rather busy with acting, directing and the like.

She loves tattoos

Zoe has spoken in the past about her love of tattoos and she admits that she is addicted to it. She got her first ink at age 18, but since then she has had so many tattoos that she has lost count of how many she has.

Some of her tattoos are tributes to family members, including siblings, grandparents and stepfather.

She’s played Catwoman in animation and live-action

Zoe got rave reviews for her take on the iconic Catwoman character when she appeared alongside Robert Pattinson in The Batman (2022). The chemistry between the two was praised, as was take on the character as a survivor with a quiet strength.

But this wasn’t the first time she’d played Catwoman. Back in 2017, she voiced the character in The Lego Batman Movie, an animated brick-based take on the DC character.
