So, it turns out that lots of people do want this… Netflix’s hit comedy-drama Nobody Wants This is coming back for a third season soon, and new information has just dropped.
Nobody Wants This was an instant hit when the first season dropped in September 2024, and today it holds a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The show won praise for its comedy, the warmth of its characters and thoughtful considerations around interfaith romances.
The show has also been nominated for a host of awards, including Golden Globes and Primetime Emmys.
Now, a third season is imminent – here is all we know about it.
What happened at the end of season 2 of Nobody Wants This?
Season 2 ended with Joanne – the agnostic sex podcaster and Noah, the young rabbi, recommitting to each other. Noah met Joanne under Los Angeles’ Urban Lights, where he called her his soulmate and declared his unconditional love for her. Their relationship had hit the rocks due to conflict over their living arrangements and Joanne’s ongoing hesitation to convert to Judaism.
Meanwhile Morgan, Joanne’s sister, called off her engagement – at her own engagement party – choosing her personal freedom instead. Meanwhile Noah’s brother and sister-in-law Sasha and Esther decided to separate after their marriage hit an emotional crossroads.
What are the plotlines of Nobody Wants this season 3?
The main plotline, according to Deadline, at the start of season 3 is that Joanne and Noah have taken their relationship to the next level and are moving into a home together. Now, they are building a life together – with all the exciting ‘firsts’ that come with that.
Elsewhere, Sasha and Esther are back on the dating scene, trying to find someone new, with all the awkwardness and excitement that comes with that.
Meanwhile newly single Morgan’s career is taking off, and is nearly becoming a media sensation.

Meanwhile Andrew Rannells – recently seen in Girls – joins the cast as Sebastien, who will be a nemesis to Joanne in the class.
Other guest stars for season 3 include Avan Jogia as Travis, a guy’s guy who enjoys annoying Joanne; Sadis Sandler who plays Denise, a young psychic; Stephanie Koenig as Poppy, who Sasha meets through a dating app; and Stephen Weber as Julian, a funny and cool divorced dad.
