She’s one of Hollywood’s biggest A-Listers.

And now Jennifer Lopez is going back to her roots – by starring in a rom-com.

The singer, 55, previously won our hearts with movies such as The Wedding Planner (2001), and 2002’s Maid in Manhattan.

And now JLo will pair with two-time Ted Lasso Emmy winner Brett Goldstein for the romantic comedy, Office Romance.

With Netflix winning the bidding war for the film, Goldstein is co-writing the movie with Ted Lasso writer Joe Kelly, which will reportedly also feature several other great character actor roles.

Lopez’s top two movies on Netflix, The Mother and Atlas, garnered 136.4 million global views and 73 million global views, respectively. The Mother is among the streamer’s 10 most-watched movies of all time and was Netflix’s most-watched movie of 2023. Atlas also hit the top 10 in 93 countries.

Ben and JLo – back on?

And while she’s starring in a rom-com, it appears that life is imitating art for Lopez – who has once again found herself involved with her estranged husband, Ben Affleck.

Despite Lopez filing for divorce on the couple’s second wedding anniversary last month, the pair were pictured looking cozy while out for brunch last weekend.

According to Page Six, Batman actor Affleck, 52, couldn’t keep his hands off his ex-wife, as they attended brunch together at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills last Saturday (September 14).

While a source told the outlet that Affleck’s plan was to show the public that the pair could still be friends, they continued, “Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off. They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.”

However, another source told People that “they are still moving forward with the divorce” and Lopez is just trying to be “friendly” with her ex.

Fans were obsessed and exasperated by the exhausting relationship.

“I feel like I’m holding the door open for a cat with these two. In or out? In or out buddy???” joked one, while another added, “Sorry, I’m obsessed with them. They’re soulmates.”

Lopez and Affleck were first engaged in 2004 after a two-year relationship, before getting back together again in 2021 and marrying a year later.
