Publisher’s Insight Lifts Players’ Hope
With the clock ticking down, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is ready to be launched on October 31, getting mixed reactions from the players. Some fans are buckled up to dive into the next chapter while others are skeptical about the new game.
Recently, Michael Douse, Publishing director of Baldur’s Gate 3 shared positive remarks on X’s post regarding Dragon Age: The Veilguard and he compared it favorably to BG3:
“I’ve been playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard in complete secrecy (behind my backpack at the office in front of a giant window, in the kitchen). From me, you may be wondering “Is this a game compatible with my experience during BG3” so I’ll tackle it from that perspective.
The answer is yes. It is to a heavy, 9 seasons long show that a well-made, character-driven, binge-worthy Netflix series is.” He praised the combat system, calling it “brilliant” as it offers different experiences in contrast to other action games.
He said, “More important, to me, it feels like the first Dragon Age game that truly knows what it wants to be”. Douse also explained that players should not expect to be the same as in Dragon Age: Origins, claiming it to be different.
