- Activision introduces Recon Squad, an invite-only feedback program
- Players can share their input to improve Call of Duty games
- Rewards like COD points and XP boosts will be given for participation

Activision, a company behind Call of Duty, is finally all ears to players’ feedback, revealing the invite-only feedback program, which is named Recon Squad.
Your Voice, Your Game: Shaping COD’s Future Together
COD fans have been complaining about the issues they have been facing, and now Activision has made this program in response to fans’ concerns. This initiative will involve the players who can help in improving the gaming experience.
In a recent blog post, Activision introduced and shared details regarding this program. What pushed the company to come up with this idea? Although Black Ops 6 had an amazing start, with time, it got so many bugs, cheating and other issues that players got frustrated and started leaving the game.
The same is the case of Warzone, which is also struggling. Treyarch shared the anti-cheat plans for cheating. Unfortunately, an issue continued to persist. The situation has become quite worse as COD has lost almost 50% of players on Steam, while the stats of other platforms have not been revealed yet, which is alarming for the company.
Now, to get the games back on track and to regain the players’ trust, Activision is paying attention to the community feedback, mentioned in a post, “Our commitment to community feedback remains unwavering and ongoing as we strive with our continuing mission:
Making our games social and fun. We truly value your opinions and feedback on what matters to you. With this in mind, and in addition to the usual methods of communication, our players now have a new way to give their feedback.”
Recon Squad: A New Era of Player Interaction
Recon Squad is basically designed to gather input from Call of Duty players. This will be an open communication directly with players that will help the company to overcome major issues that have plagued these titles: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
One distinct feature of this program is “invite-only”; players will be randomly selected by Activision, and mail will be sent to them at an address that is connected to their Activision ID.
Once invited, members of the Recon Squad can provide feedback through a number of ways, including surveys, community discussion boards, and focus group discussions where players can share in-depth information about their experiences.
However, players, except the invited ones, cannot join this program. Activision stated: “This Fuel Cycle community is ‘invite-only’, so you won’t be able to forward this to any of your friends or family to have them sign up – so any invite you may receive is just for you.
All types of players are being invited – no matter the modes or number of hours you play, we want to hear from you!” Activision is offering rewards to participants to make the feedback process more engaging and intriguing.
Upon sharing their experiences and opinions, players will earn points, which can be redeemed later for in-game rewards like COD points, XP boosts, and other items.
Another noticeable aspect here, as Activision mentioned, is that this program will include all kinds of players, from newbies to pros and from those who play moderately to the ones who spend hours in the game.
This is a justified approach that won’t let any player feel left out and will encourage everyone to be interested.
