Black Ops 6
  • Activision is using AI-powered RICOCHET Anti-Cheat to detect and eliminate cheaters in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, set to launch on October 25.
  • The system aims to remove cheaters within an hour of gameplay, ensuring a level playing field for dedicated players.

Ban within One Hour of First Gameplay

Cheaters watch out! Activision has announced that it will be deploying artificial intelligence to detect cheaters and wipe them out in the upcoming game- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

The game will be released on the 25 October and RICOCHET Anti-Cheat will begin its hunt from day one. This highly appreciative move is taken to provide dedicated players with fair gameplay who have been suffering for so long from cheating strategies.

Players have always given feedback and now their requests are successfully heard by the team. Activision shared a detailed blog post explaining everything regarding their Anti-cheat technology:

“The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team has heard your feedback, and this progress report was written to provide a meaningful update on the issue of cheating as well as outline the foundation for the year to come beginning with the launch of Black Ops 6 and what lies beyond.”

They further mentioned:

“What our team has been working on for the future is a suite of tools that use AI to find and fight cheaters.’’

The team has spent an ample amount of time improving the cheat-prevention system including the special tool- Kernel-level drivers that dig deeper into a player’s device to catch the cheating software.

Activision explained, “Today, cheaters can run and hide but a trail exists. What if that trail disappears? That is what the team has been working on. Cheat developers can’t hide player behavior.

How people play – the legit, the phony, the good, and the bad – gives us information and we use that to build ways to pick those bad folks out of a lineup.” They have data from cheaters and top-level pro players to find out who is using false ways to win the matches.

The new system was tested during the game’s beta, where it successfully banned 12,000 cheating accounts before they even entered a match. The goal is simple, to boot cheaters within one hour of play.

It seems there is no hide hole left anymore for humbugs in B06 and the team is determined to deliver not only action-packed gameplay but also a battleground free from all unfairness.
