He’s a pop star with 10 Grammy awards.
But things got a little hairy for Justin Timberlake last week, when he was arrested for driving while intoxicated in New York.
According to reports, the Sexy Back singer, 43, ran a stop sign and failed to stay on the right side of the road, prompting officers to pull him over.
According to the charging document, Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath”. His speech was slowed and he performed poorly on the officers’ sobriety tests, and he also refused a breathalyzer test.
Timberlake was formally charged and released without bail, and is scheduled to appear virtually in court on 26 July, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has said.
While driving under the influence is obviously no laughing matter, the internet couldn’t help but poke a little bit of fun at Timberlake – especially after his mugshot was released.
