When first-look pictures of the new Gladiator movie dropped this week (July 1), we knew that the Internet memes would be going crazy.
Viewers were treated to photos of Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and Joseph Quinn in the Ridley Scott-directed film – and there were a lot of happy fans online.
Looking suitably hunky in their roles, the memes just kept on coming as fans joked how they couldn’t wait until the end-of-year release date.
But if that wasn’t enough, Gladiator II is set to premiere in the US on November 22 – the same day as another major blockbuster.
Forget Barbenheimer – the name given when both Barbie and Oppenheimer hit theaters on the same day back on July 21, 2023 – as Gladiator II is set to go head-to-head with the movie adaptation of the musical Wicked later this year.
