- Ariana Grande joked about using ‘Botox and Juvederm’ when picking up an award last weekend
- But now the singer and actor wants to clear up her comments
- Grande insists she is ‘four years clean’ of any tweakments

Ariana Grande hit headlines this week after referencing her surgical enhancements – but now the singer wants to clear up any confusion about her comments.
Despite her 17 years in the industry, last weekend, the singer and actor, 31, picked up a Rising Star award for her role in Wicked.
Taking to the stage at the Palm Springs Film Festival in California, Grande said in her acceptance speech, “You don’t know how much it means to me. I’ve been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again.
“I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm.”
But it seems the world took Grande’s quip a little too seriously, as the star – who plays Glinda in the Jon M. Chu-directed Wicked – felt the need to clear up what she meant.
“Oh my gosh, my joke,” Grande laughed to Entertainment Tonight. “My bit.”
“I’m still clean, I’m still clean,” she then clarified in regards to the beauty treatments. “But when I start going again, I’ll let you know. I mean it. I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder, as the founder of R.E.M. Beauty – I think it’s important to have transparency.”
Of fillers, Grande added, “I love it, I support it. But I am still four years clean.”
Ariana Grande takes ‘surgery lie detector test’
It isn’t the first time Grande has addressed surgery rumors.
Back in September, the actor took part in Vanity Fair’s infamous lie detector test – and was finally able to put an end to claims that she has undergone certain procedures.
“Did you ever get any work done to feel more popular?” began Erivo, before asking Grande about several enhancements.
The Boy Is Mine singer denied getting a nose job and a boob job – with the polygraph examiner confirming that she was telling the truth.
Of a face-lift, Grande said, “No, not yet. I’m open,” while she looked confused and asked how they created a chin implant.
She added, “This is the best day of my life. Take that you YouTube people!”
The R.E.M. Beauty founder also shared that she did not get a “fox eye lift” and that she had never heard of that particular procedure until she was wrongly accused of getting one.
“I discovered it through people who thought I did and I said thank you,” she joked.
Grande did admit to having fillers and Botox “in various places” but, as per her recent comments, she stopped “like four years ago”.
“That is the extent,” Grande confirmed, before noting that she is “in full support of all people who do these things.”
“Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed,” she said. “Why do we care?”
Ariana Grande to release ‘new music’

Elsewhere, Grande delighted fans – by revealing that she does have some new music on the way.
The Dangerous Woman singer previously debunked rumors that she would be touring in 2025.
But in an interview with Access Hollywood, Grande said, “[New music] is not something that I’m thinking about right now but there is something I made last year that will come out eventually.”
Sharing further details about the project, she added, “It’s an attachment of [her seventh studio album] Eternal Sunshine, so that does exist. And that will be coming out at some point. But I’m not in the studio at the moment.”
