Ariana Grande is currently taking a step back from music to focus on her acting career.
But that doesn’t mean the singer, 31, isn’t plotting her next move as a pop star.
This week, Grande revealed she would love to collaborate with Billie Eilish on a track.
When asked in an interview about the prospect of the pair releasing a song together, Grande exclaimed, “Oh my God, of course I would, I would in a heartbeat. I love her so much.
“She’s such a true friend, and a brilliant, brilliant artist, and just a really good person and I love her.”
Eilish recently held a Q&A for Grande following a screening of her movie, Wicked – for which she is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award at this year’s Oscars ceremony – and the gesture didn’t go unnoticed.
“Like, the fact that she did that and hosted that Q&A for me was such a kind thing, it was so sweet of her,” Grande continued. “It’s always nice when you are a fan of someone and they show you love back.
“She’s just very kind and truly a good person.”

While it may seem like a happy accident that the Q&A – which was held for Academy and guild members at the Directors Guild of America’s theater – was moderated by two-time Oscar winner Eilish, she was actually personally requested to host the evening by Grande.
“My team was like, ‘Who would be a cool person to do this? Who’s your dream person?’” Grande, 31, said at the outset. “I was like, ‘Billie, [but] she’s not gonna say yes.’ She’s too busy. She’s too fabulous. It’s too much. But she said ‘Yes,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, s***. Now I’m so nervous!’”
The feeling of adoration was certainly mutual, as Eilish, 23, also revealed her love for Grande.
“I love this girl so much and I love this movie so much and I love you,” she told her. “And I still use the YouTube channel that… has been my personal channel since I was about 11. I was just
in the car telling my mom that you can find old interviews of you from like 2014 with Billie Eilish comments like, ‘I’m Team Ari.’
“I didn’t realize that they were still up, but there’s many things where I commented like, ‘God, I just love Ariana so much.’ And I used to call you ‘Ari’ to my brother [Finneas], and he’d be like, ‘Don’t call her Ari, you don’t know her!’”

While the Wicked star may be nominated for her first Oscar, Grande began her career long before she took on the role of Glinda in the movie-musical.
Bursting to stardom when she was just 16, the actor first played the role of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon series Victorious, before starring in its spin-off show, Sam & Cat.
Of course, Grande then took the pop world by storm in the early 2010s – but is now calling for record label contracts to provide “non-negotiable” therapy for their young signees.
“I was 19 when all of that nonsense started happening to me,” Grande revealed of her jump into the spotlight when she began releasing music. “It started when I was so young with my body or rumors about my relationships or about my team or about my mom or about people I love. There was just no limit.”
Grande went on, “It’s so important that these record labels, these studios, these TV studios, these big production companies make [therapy] a part of the contract when you sign on to do something that’s going to change your life in that way, on that scale.
“You need a therapist to be seeing several times a week.”
