It really is Zendaya’s world and we’re just living in it.

Hot off the back of a picture-perfect press tour for her new movie, Challengers, the actor, 27, has received potentially the highest possible compliment from Tina Knowles – aka, Beyoncé’s mom.

Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of Zendaya’s film, Knowles, 70, revealed, “I love Zendaya. The first time I saw her, I used to watch her in the Disney series [Shake It Up] with my grandson [Solange Knowles’ son Julez Smith] and she just reeked of stardom.

“She is just the most gracious, beautiful girl, and she reminds me of my daughter — she’s a Virgo, like my daughter.”

It didn’t take long for fans to work out that Knowles was in fact referring to her Crazy in Love singer daughter, 42, who celebrates her birthday on September 4, just three days after Zendaya.

This isn’t the first time one of the Knowles family has praised the Dune actor.

In 2016, Beyoncé chose Zendaya to appear in her HBO Lemonade film.

“I thought it wasn’t real. I talk about Beyoncé too much,” Zendaya said at the time. “I am a diehard. I was like there is no way. And then it was real.”

She added, “She said that she picked strong, powerful, inspirational women that she would want her daughter to look at. Those are the women that she picked and she wanted me to be a part of that, and I was just like, that’s crazy. It was out of body.”
