Season four of Bridgerton is set to (hopefully!) hit our screens in 2026 – and we can’t wait to get back to the ton.

While last series was centered around Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s romance, this time it is the turn of his older brother, Benedict, to meet his match.

The character, played by Luke Thompson, will meet a mysterious suitor at his mother’s masquerade ball, who he refers to as the Lady in Silver.

That turns out to be new debutante Sophie Baek, who will be played by Yerin Ha.

Although it must be pretty intimidating stepping in a leading role on Bridgerton after so many successful seasons, Ha, 27, has revealed that two cast members in particular have made her feel right at home.

The actor has turned to the likes of Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma) and Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) for advice – as the pair were the leading ladies of seasons two and three.

“They’re so lovely,” Ha revealed. “Basically, [they’ve said], if you want advice, please reach out. But don’t get too scared. The fans are amazing.”

Keen to make her mark on season four, Ha continued, “I … wanted to just feel this journey for myself and kind of figure [it] out on my own.”

She also opened up about her on-screen relationship with Thompson, 36.

“We work so well together,” Ha admitted. “There’s just such an openness with Luke and I’d like to think I’m quite open with him.

“And we just try to focus on the story and focus on truly accepting each other for who we are, both character-wise and as people.”

Yerin Ha says Bridgerton role gave mother ‘indigestion’

We get it – landing a part in Bridgerton is a very big deal to actors.

So much so that Korean actor Ha couldn’t contain her joy when she found out the news.

“I was having breakfast with my mom at a cafe in Korea and I stepped outside and it was so funny, because she kind of knew immediately when I was jumping on the streets of Gangnam [a district in Seoul, South Korea] that I got the role,” Ha said in September last year.

And Ha wasn’t the only one affected by the announcement – as her mother took ill after hearing of her daughter’s role!

“[My mom] came out crying, and then after the phone call, she was like, ‘We’ve got to go home. I think I have indigestion,’ and so we left,” Ha laughed. “It was really beautiful to kind of, I guess share that moment with her.”

With Coughlan getting her big storyline from the period drama in season three – where we watched Penelope’s dreams come true as she married Colin Bridgerton, later having his son – the Derry Girls star appears to be happy to be taking a backseat in series four.

“I get to be quite chill, I pop in like once a week, do a little something, have a cute baby. It’s great!” she laughed in a recent interview.

And Coughlan heaped praise on Thompson and Ha.

“Luke and Yerin are our leads this year, they’re amazing,” Coughlan smiled. “They did a big Valentine’s event this year and they’re having the best time. They love each other, they’re having so much fun.
