The Cannes Film Festival is cracking down on scandalous red carpet fashion.

One trend that is attempted to be stamped out is the ‘naked’ dress, the trendy gown that gives a nude illusion. Fans of this look have included Bella Hadid and Florence Pugh.

The official Cannes Film Festival website that “nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as any other area of the festival.”

Alongside outfits revealing or implying too much flesh, they are also clamping down on “voluminous” looks. Basically, no cupcake skirts and Princess Diana-style trains.
