- The Blink Twice star didn’t wash his clothes for a whole year
- Tatum calls the year “the year of the fresh white tee”
- The 44-year-old revealed he would get a few wears out of each t-shirt

Ever had a household chore that you despised so much that you simply avoided doing it for a whole year? Channing Tatum has, and went to very extreme lengths to make it happen.
The Magic Mike star has recently revealed that, to avoid doing laundry, he bought a year’s worth of t-shirts and never threw any of them into the washing machine.
The 44-year-old made the startling revelation during an episode of GQ’s 10 Essentials.
“I hate doing laundry. Like, I hate it more than I can possibly say. I had one year that I called ‘the year of the fresh white tee.’ I don’t think I did laundry all year that year. I just wore white T-shirts that I just bought.“
In a bid to not sound completely insane, Tatum then confirmed that he wouldn’t throw away a white tee after just one wear, but would get a few wears out of each tee before retiring it.
“I’d be like, ‘I can get, like, two wears out of this a week. This is gonna be good.’ The year of the fresh white T – 1999 or 2000. It’s a beautiful year.”
Being that this happened around the turn of the century before Tatum’s fame supernova’d, might explain why he didn’t simply hire someone to do all his laundry. In 2000, Tatum was cast as a dancer in Ricky Martin’s ‘She Bangs’ video and in the following couple of years landed modelling work for brands such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Abercrombie & Fitch, so he probably didn’t even need to pay for his white tees with those sorts of gigs.
