- Christmas movies are a huge part of the holiday season
- But what are the younger cast members of some of our fave films doing now?
- Pubity.com takes a look…

Nothing says Christmas like a good family movie.
And while some of our favorites star Hugh Grant, Jim Carrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger, it would be amiss to forget the much younger cast members to feature in our favorite holiday movies.
Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Macauley Culkin’s family accidentally leaving him to fend for himself in the Home Alone movies; and Thomas Brodie-Sangster will forever warm our hearts as hopeless romantic Sam in Love Actually.
But what about the child stars of some of our other fave festive movies? Pubity.com takes a look at where they are now…
The Holiday – Miffy Englefield
The Holiday has been a fan favorite since it first hit our screens back in 2006.
Starring the likes of Jude Law and Cameron Diaz – as well as Kate Winslet and Jack Black – the movie also features Miffy Englefield as one of widower Law’s adorable children, Sophie.
While Englefield – who is now mum to her own four-year-old daughter, Frankie – enjoyed other roles after her debut in the seasonal rom-com aged six, she revealed that she was “aged-out” of acting, as she looked much older than her years.
“It wasn’t really in my control,” admits Miffy. “You don’t really want a 12 year old who looks 16. So yeah, it was just a natural growth thing.
“I grew up quite early in terms of my physical appearance.”
Nativity! – Sydney Isitt-Ager
Sydney Isitt-Ager warmed our hearts as Sadie in the 2009 movie Nativity! – one of the children in Mr Madden’s class.
And just as the children in the British elementary school had dreams of Hollywood, Isitt-Ager, 25, is also still in showbiz.
After studying at theatre college in Epsom, Surrey, she bagged her first role as a grown up in a Netflix Christmas film back in 2022 – which, bizarrely, also starred her Nativity! co-star Ashley Jensen.
She has also appeared in Nativity the Musical. “Did someone say full circle moment?” she noted.
Elf – Daniel Tay

Daniel Tay was just 12 when he played Buddy’s half-brother Michael in the 2003 movie, Elf.
But despite starring opposite Hollywood legend Will Ferrell, Tay, now 33, turned his back on Hollywood in favor of academia.
Tay went to study Economics and also Chinese at prestigious US college Yale.
After tutoring for a few years, Tay became a research fellow at Columbia University. But it seems he’s changed careers again, as he’s now in his third year of studying medicine at Cornell University.
The Santa Clause – Eric Lloyd

Starring as adorable Charlie Calvin in all three of the Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen, Eric Lloyd was just eight when he first took on the role.
Finishing in 2002 when he was a teen, Lloyd is now 38 – and these days, he’s mainly working behind the camera.

Getting into sound engineering, Lloyd opened his own production studios in Glendale, California.
However, in 2022, he reprised his role as Charlie Calvin to appear in The Santa Clauses, a TV special based on the films.
