Death Stranding fans gear up, the trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the beach maybe arriving soon.
Kojima Teases Trailer Editing Progress
This anticipation came when the game’s director Hideo Kojima hinted that he is working on a new trailer. Fans are guessing that it can possibly the next trailer for sequel as the first one was released in February 2024, increasing the chances for it even more.
The director shared an X post stating that:
“Sitting at the editing desk for the first time in a year. I’ve been too busy to actually start editing, so I’ve been “air-editing” in my head—listening to potential tracks on my Walkman while walking or on the flight, probably about a hundred times. But now that I’ve finally loaded everything into the editing system, it’s not quite matching the image I had in mind.”
This hints that the next trailer is in progress and this gets supported by the picture shared by him displaying, “A Hideo Kojima Game”, and seems to be in editing phase. Considering these fans are expecting that the new glimpse of sequel is on the way.
The Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is an action-adventure game crafted by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel of title released in 2019.
The upcoming game is likely to continue the narrative of original title, however, the details and story plot has not been revealed yet. The sequel is set to bring the old and new characters including Sam Porter Bridges, Higgs, and more.
State of Play 2025: A Possible Reveal?
Although the second trailer’s launch date is not confirmed, rumors suggest that it may be revealed at the PlayStation State of Play event that is expected to happen in mid-February 2025.
During this event, Sony makes announcements or reveals exciting news or trailers, and fans of Death Stranding are hoping that the event may go in their favor.
Kojima had previously stated that the release date would be announced in 2025, making this upcoming State of Play a likely stage for the reveal. Moreover, Kojima is known for lifting curtains from new content during such events, which is fueling more hope among fans.
