New Era for Elden Ring
Rumors have been around that Elden Ring– the most popular action RPG will make a grand debut on Nintendo’s much-anticipated Switch 2. Elden Ring being the first game available on the new console will surely enhance the experience. Insider Nash Weedle- known for his leaks, shared an X post:
“Leak Express: A port of ELDEN RING is being developed for the SWITCH 2, which will receive the game in a “Definitive Edition.” It appears that Virtuos might be responsible for this port, and it could arrive by the end of 2025”.
According to tech4gamers another insider- Necro Felipe also agreed to hear the same rumors. It is hinted that Vitreous, a studio popular for delivering the polished ports is handling the Elden Ring’s port as well, and as per the leaks, the game will include extra content- Shadow of the Erdtree DLC).
Although Elden Ring is already running on potent gaming devices like Steam Deck and Switch 2 might not be equally powerful but a port will be helpful in running the game smoothly.
It is anticipated that Switch 2 will launch in early 2025 and considering it players can’t access Elden Ring right at the release, but with a bit of patience they will bear the sweetest and biggest fruit.
Adding the Elder Ring shows that Nintendo is committed not to solely focus on its own games but to expand its library with popular titles made by other developers. Now fans are excitedly waiting for these rumors to turn into a reality soon.
