Billionaire Elon Musk has had another child, his 14th, and fourth with Shivon Zilis. It comes following claims from influencer Ashley St. Clair that she had his 13th baby five months ago.

The Tesla CEO’s latest child is the couple’s second son whom they have named Seldon Lycurgu. Zilis and Musk also share twins, Strider and Azure, 3, and daughter Arcadia, 1.

Zilis made the announcement in an X post published on Friday 28 February, but didn’t reveal when Seldon was born. The post read “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️.”
Musk simply replied with “♥️”.
Growing family
Musk and Zilis first conceived son Strider and daughter Azure via IVF in November 2021. The twins’ arrival came just weeks before Musk and his former partner Claire Boucher aka musician Grimes welcomed their baby girl, Exa Dark Sideræl. Exa – nicknamed ‘Y’ – was born via a surrogate in December, despite the pair splitting up in September.
In June 2024 the couple revealed they had welcomed their third child, Arcadia – who has just turned one. Zilis, who worked as a project director at Tesla before serving as director of operations at Neuralink, also took to X to wish Arcadia a happy first birthday, writing “Happy 1st birthday, darling Arcadia. Mommy loves you with all her heart 💞”.
Musk rarely discusses his own family publicly, but he does think the biggest threat facing the planet is people not having enough babies. He has gone on record saying “If there is not at least a birth rate which is keeping population constant, then people will disappear”, which may explain his love for fathering children.
Musk shares twins Vivian and Griffin, 20, triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, 19, and a baby Nevada who died in 2002 at 10 weeks old with ex Justine Wilson. He is also father to X Æ A-12, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2, with Grimes.
Legal battle
Amid Musk and Zilis’s good news, Musk is also gearing up for a legal battle with conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair.
St. Clair, 26, claims Musk is the father of their son and has sued him in New York Supreme Court for the sole custody of their son.
In a new interview with the New York Post, she shared further details about the alleged romance and resulting pregnancy, “I was told to keep it secret. I was being asked to keep it a secret forever. I was completely isolated during my pregnancy. Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody”.
She claims that the two got together in St Barts in the Caribbean in January 2024, leading to the conception of the child who was born in September.
Musk has been requested to appear at the New York County Courthouse on 29 May. His attorneys will be allowed to argue why he shouldn’t be forced to grant St. Clair sole custody of their 5-month-old child or why Musk shouldn’t be forced to take a paternity test.
