- An expert has given their take on the 100 men versus a gorilla debate
- A X user, known as Kaleb, has offered their degree-based opinion on the matter
- The question consumed social media for days

Could 100 men successfully take down a gorilla? Well, the internet has been chewing over this question for days now.
Some people are dead set certain that they could, as part of a collective, take on one of the great apes. Others were less convinced, pointing out the sheer strength of a gorilla.

While the debate rages on, one man attempted to answer it with some of his expertise.
A man known simply as Kaleb logged on to give his two cents. The biologist’s credentials include a degree in ecology and a minor in primatology.
On X, he dubbed it a “degree specifically in monkeys” and is “uniquely qualified to address the 100 men vs 1 gorilla discourse.”

Kaleb said,”If the gorilla was fighting with maximumly efficient tactics I’d maybe give it a higher threshold of men it could take on, but they’re generally regarded as the least intelligent great apes by primatologists.”
This is because gorillas are primarily folivores, and the caloric costs,” he continued.
Okay since so many fraudulent primate enthusiasts keep trying to dunk on me, it is not technically incorrect to refer to apes as monkeys, as they share a more recent common ancestor with old world monkeys than they do with new world monkeys pic.twitter.com/DQFmDZp4dy

Eventually, he got down to the meat of the issue: who would win in his long thread on X.
“We are definitely taking casualties,” before saying that the gorilla, unless really tired, would probably do the most damage.
Kaleb continued, “But this isn’t enough to just rip apart every man instantaneously before a couple guys on each limb are able to restrain him.”
Aside from the 100 men v one gorilla, what else did Kaleb say?
At the end of his thread, Kaleb urged those who enjoyed his intervention to help protect wildlife conservation efforts amid President Donald Trump’s federal funding cuts.
“Please support local and international wildlife conservation efforts and tell your representatives to fight back against the attack on our public lands currently being waged by this administration,” he urged his followers.
