• Despite being made using AI technology, the video has clocked over 3.4 million views on Youtube
  • Cavill has long been rumored to star as 007 in the franchise

They’re two of the biggest names in Hollywood.

So when fans watched a trailer for the next James Bond movie that featured both Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie, they couldn’t help but get excited.

The catch? The clip was made using AI technology.

That’s right – neither actor has been confirmed for the project, but their faces have been used in a fake video which seemed to tease the next 007 installment.

Despite that, the ‘trailer’ – for a movie titled ‘Bond 26’ – has received 3.4 million views on YouTube. Posted by creators KH Studio, they captioned their creation, “Hollywood heavyweights Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie are slated to take on the iconic roles in the highly anticipated Bond 26. This latest installment in the legendary franchise promises to deliver espionage thrills and heart-pounding action like never before.”

Claiming that the movie would be made by “visionary filmmaker Christopher Nolan”, they continued, “Cavill, renowned for his suave charm and undeniable charisma, steps into the role of the legendary MI6 agent with confidence and style. His portrayal of Bond is set to redefine the character for a new generation, blending classic sophistication with modern edge.

“Joining Cavill on his mission is the incomparable Margot Robbie, who takes on the role of a formidable Bond girl. With her talent for bringing complex characters to life, Robbie’s portrayal promises to add depth and intrigue to the espionage thriller.”

While Robbie, 33, has never previously been linked to the long running film franchise, Cavill’s name has been floated over the years to play the role of 007.

In fact, it was revealed last year that he came within touching distance of playing the famous spy – but lost out to Daniel Craig, who won the role and started his stint in Casino Royale.

“He looked great in the audition. His acting was tremendous,” director Martin Campbell revealed in an interview to the UK’s Express newspaper. “And look, if Daniel didn’t exist, Henry would have made an excellent Bond. He looked terrific, he was in great physical shape … very handsome, very chiseled. He just looked a little young at that time back then.”

He added, “Henry’s [now] 40, so by the time he’s done the third one he’s going to be 50 and anything beyond that’s two, three years per Bond. He’s in good shape Henry, he’s a good guy. He did very well in the audition, but ironically he was too young.”

The rumor mill once again went into a frenzy in March, when it was claimed that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has all but signed on the dotted line to take over from Craig and play Bond. Craig’s last movie in the part was for 2021’s No Time to Die.
