Let’s face it – Taylor Swift is pretty much the biggest name on the planet right now.
But what would you do if one of her exes just so happened to be your husband?
That’s the dilemma that Vick Hope has found herself in – and this week, the British radio host revealed that she only listens to Swift’s music when her hubby, EDM artist Calvin Harris, is out of the house!
Speaking on her BBC Radio 1 show, Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie, Hope, 34, and her co-host Katie Thistleton read messages from fans about what they like to do when their partners are gone.
When one listener admitted they listen to “all the tunes he hates while I dance”, Hope deliberated on sharing her own favorite tunes – before candidly revealing, “As soon as my husband goes away, I listen to Taylor Swift.”
Swift, 34, and Harris, 40, dated for 15 months until their split in 2016, which ended in the Summer hitmaker going on a furious Twitter rant, while Swift appeared to make a dig at her ex in her music video for Ready for It.
But that hasn’t deterred Hope from enjoying the 14-time Grammy winner’s hits, as she continued, “That’s just when I get my little fill — just a little fill.
“Just a couple of songs, get it out of my system and then it’s done.”
Fans went wild for Hope’s secret Swiftie revelation – with some saying that the media personality should run for “prime minister”.
“Everyone is a Swiftie at this point,” another noted, while someone else joked, “She’s so real for that.”
Others took Hope’s confession to mean that Harris was still upset about his acrimonious split from the Shake It Off singer.
“Confirmed: Calvin Harris is still salty,” one fan wrote, as someone else tweeted, “Calvin Harris’s wife can’t sing her heart out at any of the London shows bc her husband still mad 8 years later, free her.”
This isn’t the first time that Swift has won the affection of her ex’s new partner.
The Karma singer is also good friends with Taylor Dome – the wife of actor Taylor Lautner, who Swift dated for a few months until December 2009.
And last year, Swift loaned Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner her NYC house following her estrangement from hubby Joe Jonas – who had a three month relationship with Swift in 2009.
“She really just collects wives like infinity stones,” one Twitter user joked, while another added, “The way so many of her exes moved on to date people who love her… you’ll never get away from the woman who loved you.”
After keeping the majority of their relationship under wraps since they were first romantically linked in early 2022, Hope and Harris have recently stepped out together on the red carpets of the February 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, and the March 2024 BRIT Awards in London.
After sparking engagement rumors in May 2022, the couple tied the knot at a ceremony and reception held at a sprawling estate in North East England in September last year. Guests included Nile Rodgers, who also performed with his band, Chic.
