Ariana Grande wowed fans in Wicked Part One when it hit theaters on November 22 last year.

And despite earning a slew of Best Supporting Actress nominations at many 2025 awards ceremonies, Grande – who plays Glinda in the Jon M. Chu-directed movie-musical – lost out again on Sunday evening, as Zoe Saldaña took home the gong at the SAG Awards.

While many rushed to congratulate Saldaña – who was given the accolade for her role in Emilia Pérez – on social media, fans of Grande, 31, couldn’t help but be disappointed for their idol.

Branding her “the people’s princess”, one fan wrote, “Ariana Grande has been robbed this entire awards season. Every clip I’ve seen from Emilia Pérez looks like a complete joke. Wicked is on another level. I’m not understanding how this is happening and never will.”

Another continued that they were “so sorry” for the actor, and went on, “What’s with this awards season snubbing Cynthia and Ariana so much? Wicked is critically acclaimed and has surpassed all of its competitors in earnings, yet the leads are being completely overlooked. It’s absolutely insane.”

Someone else added, “Zoe Saldaña winning over Ariana Grande AGAIN?!? REALLY?!?!”

Fans ‘so proud’ of Ariana Grande

Others said that while Grande had missed out on a lot of her nominations, she still “wins best supporting actress in my delusions”.

“I want to hug her so bad and physically hand her all the flowers that she undoubtedly deserves,” noted another. “Ariana, we all know what you’ve done for Glinda and we are SO. PROUD. OF. YOU.”

Someone else vowed to avenge the Dangerous Woman singer.

“Ariana not getting a single award for Wicked this entire award season, despite having one of the best performances among the nominees,” they fumed. “Yeah… this is my villain origin story.”

Fans hope Ariana Grande will win Oscar

While Grande’s fans felt flat over the snub, they noted that there’s still one more chance for Grande to bring home an award this season – at the Oscars.

The prestigious ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 2. And followers of the pop star are convinced that she has what it takes to bring home the prestigious accolade.

“No you guys, they’re just waiting to give Ariana her award at the Oscars because those are the most relevant,” predicted one.

Another added of her performance, “This right here SHOULD have secured her that Oscar win, but it’s Ariana Grande so they will never give her the recognition and acclaim that her artistry deserves.”

And while fans still dwelled on this year’s awards season, others were expecting big things from 2026.

“If Ariana and Cynthia don’t win every single award they are nominated for next year, I’m going to start hexing bloodlines,” promised someone else. Be warned, The Academy…
