And now fans are already excited for the next series of Bridgerton – despite having to wait another two years before it is back on our screens.
Bosses at the streaming service have confirmed that the next installment of the Regency-era drama will focus this time around Benedict Bridgerton.
The second-oldest Bridgerton child is played by actor Luke Thompson, 36, and (spoiler alert) the story will focus around author Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer From a Gentleman – which sees Benedict searching for a ‘lady in silver’ he meets at a masquerade ball, who turns out to be a low-born woman named Sophie Beckett.
“It has been brought to this author’s attention that perhaps it is time to unmask the newest suitor of the marriage mart… Benedict Bridgerton’s story is coming next season,” the series posted from their official Twitter/X account, mimicking the words of Lady Whistledown.

Big Bridgerton shoes to fill
The series will have big shoes to fill, as it follows hugely successful predecessors. Season 1 saw Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) marry the charming Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), while her elder brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) eventually settled down with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in season 2.
More recently , it was ‘Polin’ – aka Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newsome) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) – who broke hearts worldwide with their stunning love story.
