Charli xcx has released the Party 4 u music video to celebrate five years of her fourth album How I’m Feeling Now.
The song is currently trending on social media with many people adding to their videos on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and more.
Upon its debut, xcx reflected on how making the LP, saying, “I felt like I rediscovered myself, my sanity + my sense of connection with the world, at a time where we were all so alone. To create with all of you helped me feel OK.”
“It was all of us at our most raw, our most stripped, our most vulnerable. I will never forget it, and I really can’t believe that 5 years later one of the Angel favorites is having its own special moment,” she continued.

How did the internet react to the new Charli xcx music video
One person on X reflected how the song, a declaration of desperate love to someone about putting on a bash just for them, was a perfect announcement following the Brat era.
Her sixth studio album dropped to a period known to large portions of the internet as ‘Brat Summer’. It was meant as a ode to being a bit messy and partying.
“With this video, the “u” went from being her lover to being the public and her newfound audience. she finally threw a party that the world wants to join in. but now the party is over, the fear and bittersweetness of not knowing if people will ever care for her again is here,” someone wrote.

They continued, “she rips out her brat attire, return to her bare self, burn an image from the era that made her finally known and finally saying goodbye to it with tears in her eyes. “come to my party” fading out like a desperate cry wanting people to keep loving her after this. and they did.”
