What if Jack Black fronted My Chemical Romance? That was the question that Saturday Night Live asked this past weekend with a parody of Welcome To The Black Parade that went viral.

Given Black also performs in comedy rock band Tenacious D, he was on his home turf in a way.

The actor and musician appeared in a sketch titled Goth Kid On Vacation, in which a reggae duo (Kenan Thompson and Ego Nwodim) – play a song about… well, being goth on vacation. The goth in question sits around hiding from the sun and scrolling on his phone, sweating buckets in his all-black outfit.

In the middle, Black appears in eyeliner and a black jacket to add an emo flavour to the song. He sings, ‘When I was a young boy / My parents took me down to Jamaica / For my high school spring break…”
