- They were one of the biggest bands of the nineties – and now Oasis have delighted fans by announcing their reunion
- The Britpop band will play 14 gigs across the UK and Ireland next summer
- Fans went wild for the news on social media

They were one of the biggest bands of the nineties.
So fans were gutted when Oasis decided to call time on their partnership in 2009.
The Britpop group is the brainchild of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, whose warring ways called an end to Oasis, after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris resulted in Noel leaving the band.
But after 15 years, the siblings have put the past behind them – and will reform next summer for 14 gigs across the UK and Ireland.
In a press release, Oasis said, “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
While the dates announced are the only ones they have planned for Europe, Oasis Live ‘25 is described as a ‘world tour’ – meaning that fans across the globe may be in luck.
Rumors are also swirling that the group will play Glastonbury festival next year – although this hasn’t been confirmed by them.
Of course, fans went crazy for the news on social media – with many taking to Twitter/X to post hilarious memes about the announcement.
Here’s what they were saying…
All the best memes after Oasis announced they are reforming
Fans couldn’t believe their luck!
Although some are (understandably) worried that the brothers won’t make it through their first gig…
And were a bit concerned about the ticket prices
Many fans had had enough of those uninterested in the news…
…but they had fierce contenders with those trying to gatekeep the band
No one was holding out much hope for Ticketmaster’s infuriating website
Many begged Oasis’s archenemies, Blur, to do the funniest thing ever
And hoped the band would extend their tour past the UK and Ireland!
But while next year belongs to the Gallagher brothers, let’s remember that we’re definitely still living Charli XCX’s Brat summer
