Emotions running high seems to be a theme that’ll run throughout Stranger Things 5.

During the same event, The Hollywood Reporter also managed to corner the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer who reiterated that this grand finale is their most emotional storyline to date.

“Well I mean it’s the end of a long journey,” suggested Ross.

“It’s our fastest start that we’ve ever had – like, our heroes are in action right away – but I think ultimately, hopefully, it’s our most emotional season yet,” he added.

“Those final episodes, the goals hit pretty hard because it’s really… in a lot of ways it’s about the end of this journey we’ve all had and also the end of childhood.”

As it stands, Stranger Things season 5 is without a release date. However, many fans predict it will drop later this year.

One popular theory is that the show’s final outing will be split into two parts, one of which may arrive at some point in October. The concluding part could then arrive a few months later, with some outlets believing it will officially conclude in November 2025.

It’s important to know that this is all speculation and nothing has been confirmed by Netflix thus far.
