It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

And all eyes were on the cast of Gladiator II yesterday (November 13) as they attended the movie’s premiere in London.

Among those who were walking the red carpet were Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington – as well as, of course, director Sir Ridley Scott.

While the plot of the movie may be somber, the cast provided fans with many heartwarming – and funny! – moments during the premiere.

Here’s a roundup of Pubity.com’s top five from the night…

Pedro Pascal accidentally getting ‘Mike Wazowski-d’

All-round nice guy Pedro Pascal was a fan favorite on the carpet – especially as the actor brought his sister Lux as his plus one to the event.

Ever the gentleman, Pascal crouched to straighten the train of his sibling’s stunning gown on the carpet – but when images emerged of the event, the logo was covering his face, leaving Lux to take all the limelight.

Fans went wild for the photo on social media – with some comparing Lux and Pedro to Sulley and Mike Wazowski in the Disney animation, Monsters Inc.

Paul Mescal reunites with Andrew Scott

After starring opposite each other in the romantic fantasy movie All of Us Strangers earlier this year, Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott became firm friends.

So it was heartwarming to see the pals be reunited on the red carpet.

Running up behind Scott, Mescal enveloped him into a huge bear hug which had us grinning from ear to ear.

Sharing a joke together, the pair then posed for photos.

Nell Mescal trolls her brother

It’s comforting to know that no matter how big you get, your younger sibling will always be there to drag you back down to earth.

As Mescal’s family showed up to support him at the premiere, his younger sister Nell shared special photos of the night to her social media followers.

As the singer looked stunning in a sequined ivory gown while standing between Paul and their brother Donnacha, fans were quick to notice that the eldest Mescal sibling had his eyes shut in the snap.

Forget star pull – it seems the youngest Mescal is still calling the shots in their household!

Denzel Washington shuns Pascal’s friendship

It seems that Denzel Washington is very choosy about who he hangs out with.

Despite being on a 51 day shoot together, the star still didn’t feel able to call Pascal his pal.

“Good man, great actor,” Washington told an interviewer on the carpet, with Pascal by his side. “I wouldn’t call him a friend, but what are we doing next?”

Taken aback, Pascal protested, “What do you mean, man?” – to which Washington clarified, “Well… it’s not like we have tea.”

All’s well that ends well though, as Pascal secured an invite to Washington’s place after all.

“I’m waiting in the wings, I’ll have tea with you any time,” he told his co-star, to which Washington countered, “You know what, that’s a promise,” he said. “You come to LA, come up to the house.”

…and Pascal says Mescal ‘sucks’

Washington wasn’t the only cast member fooling around with his co-stars.

When Mescal interrupted an interview with the Chilean actor by calling him “the best boy”, Pascal responded, “I was just saying the most horrible things about you – I said that working with you was like being attacked by a wall.”

Both sharing a laugh, Pascal kissed Mescal on the cheek, who then said, “I love you – this [the premiere] is mad.”

As he walked away, Pascal turned back to the interviewer.

“He sucks,” joked Pascal.
