PlayStation 5 players gear up to play another Xbox exclusive title, Forza Horizon 5, which is officially making its way to Sony’s console on April 29.
Forza Horizon 5 Finally Hits PlayStation
The game was initially released in 2021 on Xbox and became an instantly favorite open-world racing title. The PS5 version of Forza Horizon was announced in late January by the developer Playground Games and now its release date has been finally confirmed, in the blog post it was stated that:
“We are excited to see the Forza Horizon 5 community grow with new players on PS5, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and skill these new creators, builders, and racers will bring to our vibrant community.”
Now fans are questioning that how well game is going to perform on PS5 and PS5 Pro. In answer to this query Playground Games has revealed that it will include two modes: Performance mode and Quality mode.
The Performance mode runs at 60 FPS, offering improved visuals, while the Quality Mode runs at 30 FPS but also offers ray-traced reflections on cars, making them look more realistic.
Performance & Key Features of PS5 Version
So, the notable point here is that players who play Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 Pro will get an exceptional gaming experience that is more than the console’s standard version.
Considering this, the gaming community assumes that the PS5 Pro version may leave behind all the Xbox Series X versions of the game in some aspects. However, not everyone is happy.
Despite the excitement, players who prefer physical copies are disappointed, as Forza Horizon 5 is only available in digital form. Right now Playground Games has no plans to release a disc version of the game.
Previously in 2021, the game had a physical edition for Xbox but that’s not the case with PS5 for now, it may happen in future, still nothing has been mentioned regarding it.
Forza Horizon 5 is a racing game that lets players drive over 100 cars on mesmerizing locations like landscapes, beaches, and more. Upon releasing on a new console, the game will include all its past updates, over 900 cars, and a new Horizon Realms update. Playground Games mentioned in January’s blog post:
“In addition to bringing Forza Horizon 5 to PS5, we’re working on a special new free content update for all platforms, Horizon Realms. Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises.”
The game is already popular even before its arrival on PS5, secured the top PlayStation Store’s pre-order charts. Racing game enthusiast are excitedly waiting for the next month and all up to jump in.
Last but not the least Microsoft is committed to it’s new strategy of bringing Xbox exclusive titles to other platforms and this is just a beginning as there are other iconic Xbox games that are getting ready to launch soon.
