In news that will shock roughly nobody, Fyre Festival 2 is looking more and more unlikely to be the major success that convicted con man and founder Billy McFarland has said it will be.

Recently, to get ahead of local officials in Isla Mujeres claiming there is no record of the festival taking place on their island, McFarland laid out a timeline to prove that Fyre Festival 2 was, indeed, going to take place there in late May.

Fyre Festival 2 – No Acts. Only Vibes

As reported by NME, the festival apparently does not hold a permit to allow the performance of live music, nor will it be able to have anywhere near the originally reported capacity of 1,800, with guests only being permitted to attend for 12 hours on each day.

NME’s report states, “Dated March 18, one of the permits shown in the documents allows for Fyre Fest 2 to be held at Martina Beach Club. That being said, it only allows for a maximum of 250 people, only allows for a total of 12hours (between midnight to 4am each day between May 30 and June 1), and does not allow for any live performances.”

Tickets no Longer for Sale

In addition to this bombshell, Consequence are reporting that tickets have been removed from the official ticketing parnter, soldout.com. Ticket packages had been priced between $1,400 and $25,000, with some packages as high as $1 million.

Earlier this week, lawyer and original planner of Fyre Festival Andy King, who rose to infamy on Netflix’s FYRE documentary, revealed there were red flags everywhere regarding the planned sequel event.

In a lengthy Instagram post, King wrote, “As we began discussing a financial package to make sure I got paid this time, he ghosted me and went off on his own. I have said this repeatedly but I am the only one who stuck by Billy and who lost hundreds of thousands of dollars with the original FYRE festival. Not to mention a massive hit to my career after being labeled “toxic” from being involved with Billy.

“What most of the world doesn’t know, is that I agreed to do the @netflix FYRE documentary for FREE so that the true story could be told and we could create awareness to be able to set up the Go Fund Me to pay back as many people in the Bahamas as possible.

“In the end I am saddened by Billy’s actions and his current turmoil. As it looks, he is setting himself up for another failure.”

Yeah that sounds about right, Andy.
