It’s been almost two years since the shocking ending of Ginny and Georgia’s last season – but luckily, the story will pick back up soon.
The high-drama show revolving around the chaotic relationship between a teenage girl and her mother, who had her as a teenager, is about to return with its third season. Netflix has confirmed that this will be the show’s penultimate season.
“This season we blew up our world. That’s the best way to describe it,” creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert told Tudum of what’s to expect from the show’s third outing. “The characters were pushed to new places, and the actors delivered performances that shook me to my core. The fans have been so patient, I cannot wait for them to see Season 3.”

“It’s incredibly complex, filled with lots of love but also lots of pain. This season, we’ll see it evolve in unexpected ways. These women don’t start and end the season the same people,” added new showrunner and executive producer Sarah Glinski. But that’s not all fans can expect: “We also dig deeper into other relationships — some we’ve seen before, and some we haven’t.”

When is Ginny and Georgia season three released?
Season three will drop on Netflix on June 5. Production began in Toronto in April 2024 and wrapped four months later..
Who’s in the cast?
Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry are, of course, back as Ginny and Georgia for season three.
Other returning favorites include Felix Mallard (Marcus), Sara Waisglass (Max), Diesel La Torraca (Austin), Jennifer Robertson (Ellen), Scott Porter (Mayor Paul Randolph), Raymond Ablack (Joe), Katie Douglas (Abby), Chelsea Clark (Norah), Nathan Mitchell (Zion), Silver (Katelyn Wells), and more.
Season three is also set to welcome two new characters. Ty Doran joins as Wolfe, a laidback guy from Ginny’s poetry class who doesn’t even seem to like poetry.
Meanwhile, Noah Lamanna will play Tris, a skateboarder who is friends with Marcus and Silver.
What will the new season be about?
In Season 2’s shock finale, Georgia was arrested for murder at her own wedding. Earlier, she suffocated a comatose Tom with a pillow to spare his family from further suffering, leaving her and Ginny in a perilous position as Season 3 starts.
Lampert has said that the “world has never come for them quite as hard as it will in Season 3”. This comes as no surprise when first look photos of the show find Georgia in prison.
“It’s not over until it’s over,” Howey told Tudum. “We can’t wrap it up in a pretty bow. That’s not real life. That’s certainly not Georgia’s life. It never has been. Why would it start to be her life now?”

There isn’t a trailer available at present, but there will likely be one closer to the time of the third season’s premiere.
