Her music has been away from the video app for months.

But Swifties, rejoice: Taylor Swift’s music is back on TikTok.

Despite her record label, Universal, being at loggerheads with the social media platform, the singer, 34, has opted to return her work back onto the site.

Unlike many artists, Swift owns the copyright to her recordings and can choose where they can be streamed, thanks to a 2018 deal with her label.

On January 31, Universal pulled music – including tracks from some of the world’s most popular artists such as Harry Styles, Drake, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, as well as the Beatles, Coldplay and Elton John – from TikTok’s library due to artist compensation and artificial intelligence.

The label – the biggest in the world – ceased licencing its content after sharing a scathing open letter to TikTok, accusing the platform of bullying and intimidation, and complaining of “how little TikTok compensates artists and songwriters, despite its massive and growing user base, rapidly rising advertising revenue and increasing reliance on music-based content”.

The Chinese company denied this – branding the letter “a false narrative” and that the label had “chosen to walk away from the powerful support of a platform with well over a billion users that serves as a free promotional and discovery vehicle for their talent” – and removed thousands of songs from its platform. They also muted the videos that featured any songwriter signed on to Universal Music Publishing Group.

Elsewhere, fans labeled Swift’s partner Travis Kelce as “cringe”.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, finally graduated from the University of Cincinnati last week – and shocked fans by chugging a beer after his speech.

Slamming the empty can to the ground, Kelce – still wearing his cap and gown – yelled into a microphone, “You’ve got to fight for your right to party!”

Branding the behavior as “top tier cringe”, Taylor’s followers took to Twitter to question their relationship, and said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor Swift is getting sick of Travis Kelce’s drunken public behavior.”

Someone else commented, “Travis Kelce is an absolute embarrassment, this type of behavior is cultural rot. This is what Taylor Swift is into and she wonders why she has to write so many breakup albums…” “I don’t understand how this is OK today?” a third questioned. “Just because it’s Travis Kelce? I can’t f**king stand this dude he has really destroyed the NFL and he thinks he is funny the whole way.”
