The popularity of GTA 6 is extremely high in contemporary times and even other gaming franchises are planning their future releases while keeping in view the former one’s launch date.

A credible reporter from Bloomberg— Jason Schreier reported that,
“Anticipation is so high that some competing game publishers are waiting as long as possible to commit to their release dates for the fall, according to people familiar with their deliberations who asked not to be identified because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly. The publishers want to see whether GTA 6 will make its deadline or slip into 2026, these people say, and they’re determined to keep their own games far, far away.”
Rockstar Games, known for creating genre-defining experiences, has set the bar sky-high with its new upcoming game whose trailer earned millions of views, shedding light on the fact that players are eagerly waiting for it.
“Grand Theft Auto VI isn’t just going to be the biggest video game of 2025. It will almost certainly be the biggest game of the decade—and possibly the most lucrative entertainment product of all time.”
However, GTA 6’s immense hype continues to build and cause an impact throughout the industry that other publishers are concerned about and stepping away from competing with this all-time demanding title.
They are aware of the attention the game will draw and fans are definitely not going to consider anything else besides it. While taking a look at GTA 5, it speaks of unprecedented success, sold 200 million copies, and generated massive revenue.
