- Inside out 2 has had more than 30.5 million views in the five days since it debuted on Disney+
- The sequel is the biggest ever premiere in EMEA and Latin America
- Inside Out 2 set numerous records during its theatrical run earlier this year

Inside Out 2 has continued its run of success with audiences – crashing through the 30 million streams barrier in the first five days after landing on Disney+.
Landmarks reached
Variety reported that the hit sequel had more than 30.5 million streams in the five days since September 25, making it the biggest premiere on Disney+ this year, and the biggest film premiere since 2021’s Encanto.
Inside Out 2 has also become Disney+’s biggest premiere of all time in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Latin America regions.
This success is no surprise, given Inside Out 2’s performance at the box office earlier this year. It grossed $1.7 billion at the global box office, making it the biggest ever animated film, passing Frozen 2 to that honor. It is also the only animated film to take $1 billion at the international box office – and 12th film in total.
Inside Out 2 remains the highest grossing film of 2024 so far, some way ahead of its nearest challenger, Deadpool and Wolverine, which took $1.3 billion.
Spinoff coming
Fans of Inside out also have more to look forward to from their favorite emotions as a spinoff show is in the works.
The series – titled Dream Productions – will air on Disney+ in December and is set in the period between the two films.
Amy Poehler, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith will again voice the five core emotions (Joy, Disgust, Fear, Anger and Sadness), with Kensington Tallman playing 13-year-old Riley Andersen.
According to the official synopsis, the show will focus on a film studio working in Riley’s mind called Dream Productions. This expands on a scene from the first movie – seen when Joy and Sadness try to wake Riley up.
