Users on the internet have been experimenting with the new feature and generating images of themselves, things in pop culture, and more. Despite AI being considered controversial, ChatGPT has become the world’s most-used AI resource in daily life.

The feature was launched in late March 2025 with the power to “natively multimodal model capable of precise, accurate, photorealistic outputs.” The images have been compared to those of anime. The CEO of the AI company, Sam Altman, has even reacted to the images. Altman took to X to joke about how his hard work was not appreciated for years, but as soon as he was turned into a “twink ghibli style,” people started to pay attention.
