Social media has sounded off about Ben Affleck breaking his silence on his marriage to Jennifer Lopez.

The Gone Girl star tied the knot with the Jenny From The Block hitmaker in 2022. This came after they rekindled their romance in 2021 after calling off their engagement in 2004. They split in 2025 after just three years of marriage.

Before their getting back together, both parties had welcomed kids with their other spouses. Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Garner and had three kids, Violet, Seraphina and Sam, while Lopez had twins Emme and Max with her ex Marc Anthony. Until now, he has largely remained stum about the end of his relationship with Lopez.

While chatting to GQ magazine, Affleck praised his ex-wife as someone who has “handled celebrity more adeptly and more adroitly than I have.”

“My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers,” he added.

“As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things,” Affleck continued. “And so I thought, Oh, this is interesting because how do you reconcile that? Because … I love and support this person. I believe in them. They’re great. I want people to see that.”
