Invincible season 3 currently holds a 100% fresh critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Many reviews have praised its balance of action and emotional heft, with one write up calling it “the best superhero show in the game.”
“After two stellar seasons, Invincible season 3 increases the moral and emotional complexity, enhancing Mark’s story and the viewer experience,” said Screen Rant.
“By focusing beyond generic cliches, it shows us once again why it’s the best superhero show in the game,” said Lyvie Scott from Inverse.
ComicBook.com’s Logan Moore added “While this season might not feature as many bombastic set pieces as in previous seasons, it trades those moments out for deeper character development.”
Is there a trailer?
The most recent trailer for Invincible season 3 arrived in late 2024. In it, we see Mark’s life getting increasingly complicated.
While Cecil tries to hone his abilities, increased villains, old enemies and the arrival of his super-powered half-sibling make things tricky.
Before this, the first teaser for Invincible season 3 caught Mark grabbing a bite to eat with Cecil, while receiving a harsh pep talk from his mentor.
The clip was a little meta too, offering an inside look at the voice recording for the show’s upcoming episodes.

Meanwhile, Sandra Oh plays Mark’s mother Debbie with Walton Goggins playing superhero overseer Cecil Stedman. Zazie Beetz plays Mark’s first girlfriend Amber, with Seth Rogan playing Allen the Alien.

Unfortunately, Banks’ character is still under wraps but he’s rumored to be playing another villain – a Viltrumite who hails from the same planet as Mark and his father Omni-Man.
Meanwhile, Simu Liu will play an elite assassin called Multi-Paul who works for crime syndicate leader Mr Liu, voiced by Tzi Ma. Kate Mara will play Powerplex’s accomplice Becky with Solo Xolo Maridueña playing twins from the future Fightmaster & Dropkick.
Futurama’s John DiMaggio will voice a villain named The Elephant while Christian Conver will play Mark’s younger half-brother Oliver AKA Kid Omni-Man.
Doug Bradley will also star but his role remains a mystery for now.
What is the plot?

A lot is going on in Mark’s world in Invincible season 3. After the events of season 2 saw him fight an inter dimensional villain. The battle showed strengths and weaknesses he never knew he had while his father Nolan was stranded on a Viltrumite jail but eying a way to escape.
When we catch up with Mark, he’s in training with Cecil while Omni-Man has moved closer to freedom with the help of Allen the Alien. Meanwhile, Mark’s younger half-brother Oliver is discovering his powers to become Kid Omni-Man with his emergence adding new complexities to Mark’s life.
As if that wasn’t enough, his new relationship with Atom Eve is making things awkward with his ex Amber. Despite knowing these plot nuggets, we’re sure there will be plenty of twists and turns in store for the show’s latest batch of episodes.
