- A mysterious countdown has appeared on the artist’s website
- The lead single, Disease, came out in October
- It follows the albums Chromatica and Harlequin

It’s almost time for the album Lady Gaga’s fans call ‘LG7’, if a countdown on her website is anything to go by.
The website now features a blue background and a countdown rotating in a circle like the hands of a clock. The countdown is set to end on Monday, January 27, at 4pm local time.
When you ‘rub out’ the background of the clock, it reveals the phrase ‘LG7’, the codename used to refer to Lady Gaga’s next album.
What do we already know about LG7?
So far, we know that LG7 will feature the single Disease, which Gaga dropped in October. The rest of the tracklist, however, remains unknown.
“It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt,” Gaga told the L.A. Times in December. “And it ends with love. That’s the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love. Every song that I wrote, I just kept getting kind of swept away in these different dreams I was having about the past — almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions that I made in my life. But it ends in this very happy place.”
The album was first mentioned at the end of the television special of Gaga’s Chromatica Ball tour. The words “LG7 Gaga Returns” flashed up on the screen once the TV film had ended.
When did Lady Gaga last release music?
Lady Gaga’s last pop album, Chromatica, came out in 2020. Although it arrived during quarantine, it proved a great success, particularly the Ariana Grande collaboration Rain On Me.
After touring the album, Gaga turned her hand again to acting. She appeared as Harley Quinn in Joker 2: Folie A Deux and received plenty of praise for her performance. However, the film flopped at the box office and received poor reviews.
She did, however, put out some new songs in 2024. Gaga teamed up with Bruno Mars for the hit Die With A Smile and later released the Joker 2 companion album Harlequin. It features renditions of songs performed in the film, mostly jazz standards and a few originals. Gaga referred to the album as ‘LG6.5’.
In 2021, Gaga released the album Love For Sale with the late Tony Bennett.
